Microneedling is outside the permitted scope of a Utah Esthetician license; Utah rules reserve use of an approved microneedling device to a Master Esthetician.

Status: Restricted
Microneedling is limited to master estheticians. Needle penetration of 1.5 mm or less may be performed without supervision; penetration greater than 1.5 mm requires general supervision by a licensed health care practitioner. The device must be used for cosmetic or esthetic purposes.
