New York estheticians may perform facials, cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, masks, makeup, waxing and threading, and other authorized beauty treatments of the face and body. Electrology is excluded from the esthetics scope.

School Pathway
Training Hours:
600
Applicants must be at least 17, complete a 600-hour approved esthetics course, complete the required one-hour Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Awareness course, obtain the required health certification, and pass New York written and practical examinations.
