Kentucky — Esthetician

Kentucky esthetician licensure requires 750 hours of training, grade-12-equivalent education, age 18, and successful written and practical examinations. Beginning in July 2026, licenses renew biennially in even-numbered years.

School Pathway

Training Hours: 750

Complete 750 hours, provide a diploma or certified testing documents proving grade-12-equivalent education, be at least 18, pass the written and practical examinations, apply, and receive license verification before providing services.

Apprenticeship Pathway

Kentucky’s published esthetician requirements identify the 750-hour school route and do not list an esthetician apprenticeship pathway.
